Where I am located: Manhattan, New York
How long have I been a baldie: Two months
What made me decide to cut my hair: My hair was very unhealthy and I was going through severe depression for the past 2 in a half years so I woke up one day and made an impulsive choice to just get rid of all the unhealthy hair on my head, I didn’t even know I was going to go through with it.
How did I prepare myself for my first cut: I was looking through Pinterest for a couple of hours before I found the one that I thought would go with me and when I did I took a screenshot and after work I showed this barber my picture and he did it exactly like I wanted.
Funniest thing someone told me about being a baldie: I was going to get asked if I’m either a boy or lesbian.
Biggest challenge: since I cut my hair around the winter time the only challenge I’ve had so far is having a cold head, but I’ve gotten used to it now.
What being baldie means to me: It means freedom honestly speaking, and being able to express myself while being womanly .
Any tips for anyone trying to go bald: Follow your heart, if you don’t believe it’ll go with you then don’t do it , and also follow your impulsiveness because being bald could be the greatest look and solution for some.️ And always hair will grow back maybe not as fast, but it grows so if you cut it bald or really short and don’t like it it’ll be an experience to talk about .
And something I want all women out there to know is to forgive yourselves, and take a picture to appreciate where you are in life and to appreciate your beauty to always believe in yourself every thing else follows!
